Birefringence Crystal

For an optically anisotropic crystal, the refractive index varies linearly with the polarizability in the crystal. So, when the light passes through such crystals, the polarization of the exit light will be different than the polarization of the incident linght, and the birefringence phenomenon may occur.

Cylindrical Lens

A cylindrical lens is a lens which focuses light onto a line instead of a point, as a spherical lens would. The curved face or faces of a cylindrical lens are sections of a cylinder, and focus the image passing through it onto a line parallel to the intersection of the surface of the lens and a plane tangent to it. The lens compresses the image in the direction perpendicular to this line, and leaves it unaltered in the direction parallel to it. Cylindrical lenses are widely used in the telecom applications like WSS, 40G/100G modules and laser applications like pump laser modules.

Diffraction Gratings

II-VI’s diffraction gratings feature precise periodic structures that achieve diffraction with high wavelength resolution. Micro Lenses in Photop refer particularly to C-Lens or D-Lens, which widely used for collimating or coupling beams after the fiber. With more than 10 years of experiences of lean production of Micro Lenses, Photop provide high volume C-Lens or D-Lens with different diameter from 1mm to 3mm.

Spherical Lenses

A lens is a curved piece of ground and polished or molded material, usually glass, used for the refraction or focusing of light. Photop provides lenses a wide range of size and materials including BK7, Fused Silica, CaF2 and other glass types specified by customers. Similar to the cylindrical lens, spherical lenses are also widely used in the different applications, and Photop provides singlets, doublets and customized lenses assemblies.

Micro Prisms

Prisms are complex optical components with at least two plano surfaces separated by a wedge angle and are generally made from blocks of optical material such as BK7, Fused Silica or SF11. Prisms have flat polished sides arranged at precisely controlled angles to each other, which deflect, deviate and rotate beams of light as well as disperse their wavelengths. It is widely used in passive components, ROADM components and modules etc.
