Free-space Isolators

Free-space isolators are single stage isolators designed using polarizer optics and half-waveplate retarders. Both crystals are grown, polished and coated in-house to provide industry leading performance at a very low cost.

Features

  • High isolation
  • Low insertion loss
  • Compact size

Applications

  • Suppression of optical back reflection in transmitters
  • Suppression of optical back reflection in pump lasers
Optical Circulators

Optical circulators route an optical signal from an input port to an output port in a non-reciprocal manner. For example, in a 3-port circulator a signal entering Port 1 will exit Port 2, a signal entering Port 2 will exit Port 3 and a signal entering Port 3 will exit Port 1. Circulators are available in 3- or 4-port configurations.

Features

  • Low 5.5 mm diameter profile
  • Low insertion loss
  • Available housed in 3- or 4-port configuration

Applications

  • Fiber Bragg grating applications
  • Tunable dispersion compensators
Optical Isolators

An optical isolator is a nonreciprocal transmitting optical passive component that allows light to go in one direction based on the Faraday Effect. Several types of isolators are available including single-stage, dual-stage, mini-size, 2-in-1 and polarization maintaining isolators.

Features

  • One-stop source for a wide variety of Isolators
  • Lowest cost & high performance guaranteed
  • Compact size: 3.0×23 mm
  • Low PMD & low loss

Applications

  • EDFAs
  • Transceivers
