BPC/ OPC 40/60W/80W

808nm, 40W 30%, 60W 27%& 80W at 50% Fill Factor High Power Laser Diode Bar on Passive Cu Block Cooler

The II-VI passively cooled BPC and OPC series offer 40W with 30% Fill Factor, 60W with 27% Fill Factor and 80W with 50% Fill Factor at 790nm, 808nm and 88xnm wavelengths. These families of products have been designed to provide the increased brightness and reliability required for collimated pumping of next generation solid-state lasers and direct applications. 

The proprietary E2 front mirror passivation process, developed at our Zurich site, prevents Catastrophic Optical Damage (COD) to the laser diode facet even at extremely high output powers. The laser diode bars are mounted on an expansion matched sub-mount onto a conductive cooled Cu block package providing very high reliability in CW and pulsed applications

BPC/OPC 80W

80W 9xxnm & 10xxnm 20% Fill Factor High Power Laser Diode Bar on Passive Cu Block Cooler

The II-VI BPC/OPC 80W 9xxnm and 10xxnm laser diode Bar on standard CS type passive cooler series has been designed to provide the increased brightness and reliability required for collimated pumping of next generation solid-state lasers and direct applications. Thermal and electrical connection is possible by mechanical means (no soldering or wire bonding required). The BPC device is easily mounted to a cold plate using screws. For current connection leads or bus bars (recommended for >100A) can be used.

Custom designed modules

Custom module product leverages our core competencies in chip, packaging and optical design, plus extensive expertise in manufacturing process and application development.

HCS Series

Collimated 808nm, up to 80W High Power Laser Diode Bar on Housed Passive Cu Block Cooler

The II-VI HCS series of collimated diode laser bars offer superior optical beam parameters with a low cost of ownership, plus easy installation and system integration.

Collimated in the fast axis, and located precisely inside a sealed housing, the HCS diode lasers provide efficient coupling into end-user optics. Narrow beam divergence and small spot size also contribute to more efficient coupling.

For more application flexibility, HCS series products are available with 50 W, 60 W and 80 W CW output powers. The HCS 808 nm diode laser bar has a fast-axis collimated beam, low divergence, Gaussian beam profile, and narrow beam waist. The fast-axis beam profile allows users to easily image the beam for printing optics. The combination of beam profile and spot size allows efficient integration into printing equipment. A narrow beam waist enables broader depth of focus needed for imaging applications. The watertight package for the 50 W and 60 W HCS collimated diode laser bar enables operation in a highhumidity environment.

Designed and built to meet specific customer requirements, HCS diode lasers are built on the field-proven OPC heatsink platform that has demonstrated high reliability in thousands of hours of customer use.

Monsoon Compact framed vertical stack module

50-200W/bar, up to 36 stackable bars in a reliable package

Monsoon Compact framed vertical stack modules are built with high-power laser diode bars to provide an extremely compact source of very high-intensity light up to multiple kW. Up to 36 stackable laser bars of 50-200W can be packaged together to provide modular flexibility to match the demanding application requirement. Monsoon stack modules are actively water cooled to enable low thermal resistance and high output power without sacrificing lifetime. 
Standard product configurations include 12, 20 and 36 bars in a compact framed housing at 8xx, 9xx, 10xx, 14xx nm. Optionally, the vertical stack modules can be equipped with fast axis collimation (FAC) and slow axis collimation (SAC), as well as custom beam shaping. Customized packaging, configuration or wavelengths are also available upon request.

Monsoon Frameless Vertical Stack Module

50-200W/bar, up to 8 stackable bars in a compact package

Monsoon Frameless vertical stack modules are built with high-power laser diode bars to provide an extremely compact source of very high-intensity light. Up to 8 stackable laser bars can be packaged into a single frameless stack housing, which provides modular flexibility to match the application requirement. Frameless design offers the ultimate smallest stack footprint among all vertical packages. The compact package is active water cooled to efficiently remove heat. 

Standard product configurations include 3 or 8 bars at 8xx, 9xx, 10xx, 14xx nm. Optionally, the vertical stack modules can be equipped with fast axis collimation (FAC) lensing to achieve higher brightness. Other customized configurations or wavelengths are also available upon request.

Single Bar on hard soldered Microchannel Cooler

Up to >250W/bar in a single hard soldered reliable package

Bar on Micro Channel Coolers are built with high-power diode laser bars to provide an extremely compact source of very high-intensity light. Proprietary, highly reliable hard soldered microchannel cooler drastically simplifies the water-cooling requirement, and enables high power output at CW or QCW without sacrificing operating lifetime. It is ideal for 24x7 industrial applications requiring high reliability, ON/OFF pulsed operations, and small device size.

Standard product currently covers wavelengths 808nm, 9xx and 10xx nm. Optionally, it can be equipped with fast axis collimation (FAC) lensing as well as custom beam shaping. Other customized configurations or wavelengths are available upon request.
