II-VI's multimode single-emitter-based laser diode modules provide an increased power output that enables fiber laser and direct system manufacturers to generate higher power with fewer modules. This in turn allows more compact pump configurations, greater pump block efficiency, and simpler packaging, thus reducing the footprint of fiber laser pump stages. The modules combine next-generation multimode laser diodes with E2 front mirror passivation that prevents catastrophic optical damage (COD) to the laser diode facet. The laser diodes are connected in series to allow for fast current switching. The modules include a built-in feedback protection filter that shields the diodes from harmful feedback light from the fiber laser.
