Bio-Detection and Analysis

The multi-color laser engine family is available in various wavelength pairs including 520/638nm, 488/638nm and other customer specific wavelengths. The multi-color laser engine family include single mode, multi-mode and polarization maintained mode with fiber output. The new innovative technology provides a compact and cost effective alternative to aligning two separate laser sources whilst providing long term reliability, low noise and exceptional stability than traditional technologies.
Bioinstrumentation applications, ranging from flow cytometry and cell sorting to microscopy, DNA sequencing and retinal scanning, use lasers to excite fluorescence from a variety of probe molecules. II-VI’s RLAS-785 is a laser diode assembly that integrates the specification of narrow bandwidth, wide operation-temperature and high power. A unique technology is applied in this type of laser to lock the wanted wavelength, which guarantees not only ultra-narrow bandwidth (<0.1 nm) but also high side-mode-suppression ratio (SMSR) (typically 40 dB). The wide operation-temperature is realized by using a thermal-electric coupler (TEC) to control the temperature of laser diode, making RLAS-785 run well through -20°C to 50°C. Furthermore, these technologies help to achieve high stability (RMS<0.4%) and reliability of power and wavelength in long term, as well as long expected lifetime (MTTF>30000 hours). Products of three configurations, free beam, fiber coupled and module, are all available, promising its wide application in Raman spectroscopy, biomedical equipment and bio-sensor.

Free Space Laser Aiming
II-VI green laser module is a wide temperature operating laser module without TEC needed. Its operating temperature range is wider than 40 degrees C. This outstanding feature is specially designed for outdoor applications. Internal photodiode is included to stabilize output power. Compact design and low power consumption are the advantages for OEM customers.
Also, with advanced laser welding technology and optical design, we offer customized beam shaped laser diode module with excellent reliability, wavelength options cover the visible range for aiming and alignment use.

Green laser is best solution for applications in Surveying and Mapping market, especially for outdoor applications, such as excavation work, land surveying, swimming pool construction, alignment, construction stake out and concrete leveling. With up to 10kHz repetition rate, it’s ideal for 3D laser scanning and surveying equipment.

Rotary Laser System
The sensitivity of human eyes to green is 5 times higher than to red, especially for the outdoor applications with rotary laser system. The main obstacles for green rotary laser system is operating temp. range from 0 to 45℃ and continuous line under 300rpm.
