Genome sequencing is a rapidly growing field driving improvements in disease diagnosis, discoveries of new treatments, predictions and preventions of future diseases and the optimization of agriculture plants used to feed our world. The sequencing process depends on very precise temperature control and very high temperature uniformity over large surface areas. II-VI provides thermoelectric cooler based precision temperature control systems that enable proper cooling of reagent systems and exact temperature cycling of DNA to replicate them using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) process.
