Francis Kramer, President of II-VI Incorporated, is pleased to announce that II-VI has been named to the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies list for the second consecutive year, coming in at No. 108 in the October 2004 issue of Forbes Magazine. II-VI’s appearance on the list showed a marked improvement over last year, with the company moving up 58 places in the overall ranking. In two categories, 12-month EPS growth and 5-year sales growth, II-VI ranked in the Top 100.
It is the third year on the list for II-VI overall. One of only 14 Pennsylvania companies to make the list, II-VI was chosen because of its positive growth pattern over both the last 12 months and in the past 5 years.
Mr. Kramer acknowledged that growth is the key to the company’s success. "With the passing of each year, II-VI has continued to grow in size and financial strength,” he said. “II-VI has a commitment to build value for it's shareholders, customers, employees and suppliers when considering all time horizons; short, medium and long term. We believe we are continuing to meet this commitment.” He went on the say that, “certainly, the success of our business worldwide would not be possible without dedicated employees. And the receipt of Forbes’ acknowledgement of II-VI's success is a reflection of the hard work and determination of those employees and our team."
