Francis Kramer, President of II-VI Incorporated, is pleased to announce that II-VI has been named to the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies list for the second consecutive year, coming in at No. 108 in the October 2004 issue of Forbes Magazine. II-VI’s appearance on the list showed a marked improvement over last year, with the company moving up 58 places in the overall ranking. In two categories, 12-month EPS growth and 5-year sales growth, II-VI ranked in the Top 100.

It is the third year on the list for II-VI overall. One of only 14 Pennsylvania companies to make the list, II-VI was chosen because of its positive growth pattern over both the last 12 months and in the past 5 years.

Mr. Kramer acknowledged that growth is the key to the company’s success. "With the passing of each year, II-VI has continued to grow in size and financial strength,” he said. “II-VI has a commitment to build value for it's shareholders, customers, employees and suppliers when considering all time horizons; short, medium and long term.
