II-VI Incorporated and its eV PRODUCTS division welcomed Congressman Jason Altmire to its worldwide headquarters and manufacturing facility in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, on April 3, 2007.

Congressman Altmire (third from left in the above photo) spent his visit at the II-VI headquarters meeting with executive management and watching an overview presentation on the corporation. He later toured several production areas for II-VI Infrared, including Machine Polishing and Coating.

At eV, the congressman toured the factory and met with employees, while also receiving an overview of eV's competencies in engineering and manufacturing products for the Department of Homeland Security and the medical diagnostics fields.

Congressman Altmire, now serving his first term in Congress, represents Pennsylvania’s Fourth Congressional District, which includes all or parts of Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Mercer, and Westmoreland Counties.
