II-VI Incorporated welcomed Congresswoman Melissa Hart to its worldwide headquarters and manufacturing facility in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, on November 1, 2006. The Congresswoman visited to meet the employees and to learn about II-VI’s technologies.

After addressing the employees’ questions, Congresswoman Hart toured II-VI Incorporated’s division, eV PRODUCTS, the world’s leading manufacturer of Cadium Zinc Telluride (CZT) radiation detection products, including components and subassemblies optimized for specific industry applications.

Congresswoman Hart served in the Pennsylvania Senate for 10 years before taking office in Congress in 2001. She is currently serving her third term representing the Fourth District of Pennsylvania and is the first female Republican representing Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.
